Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology established by Reliance Industries is known by its short-form DAIICT.

With setting up of Indian Institute of Information Technology in 1996, golden era in I.T. sector

in India began. After setting up of Indian Institute of Information Technology at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh by Government of India, IIIT was set up at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh which followed another such college in 2001 in Gujarat, and that is - Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT).

DAIICT is an institute which aims at imparting the best education at national level in the

Information, Communication and Multimedia technology sector. Even when I. T. sector is facing adverse effects of recession, candidates of IITM Gwalior, IIIT Allahavad with B.Tech. degree are in great demand. Even as on today, engineers graduating from both these colleges are in great demand within the country as also abroad. Four years course :

Four-years Degree Engineering course is available at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar for students of Standard-12 science where admission can be obtained only through merit rank of AIEEE.

Name of Course : B. Tech. (Information & Communication Technology).

Equivalent to Degree course : Value and reputation of Post Graduate Program in Management conducted by IIM, Ahmedabad is higher than any MBA or MMS – Master Degree in Management.

Similarly, ICT Program of DAIICT has worth more than B.E. or B.Tech. with Information and Communication Technology.

Eligibility for admission :

Should have passed Standard-12 Science with mathematics, physics and chemistry subjects.

DAIICT has decided to admit students from Gujarat only on 50% of total seats.

Admission system :

Percentage of marks obtained in Standard-12 is not being taken into consideration for admission to DAIICT. You just clear the exam and face the entrance test. For admission to DAIICT, you have to crack AIEEE exam. It may be remembered friends, that for admission to the DAIICT, you have to fill two separate forms – for AIEEE and for DAIICT.

When to apply ? Who can apply ?

(1) Students having passed Standard-12 exam in science stream as also those who are yet to appear for Standard-12 exam can apply.

(2) Form for AIEEE is to be filled during the month of December or January and exam is in the end of April.

(3) Form for DAIICT is to be filled in the month of February-March when advertisement for the same is published. Prior to apply for DAIICT, it is mandatory to apply for AIEEE first.
