Courses of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET)

As a part of change, we have started now using widely plastic at home, office and everywhere.Even parts of automobiles including our scooter and motor car are made of plastics. With increased use of plastic, opportunities for job and career are also becoming brighter in the plastic manufacturing sector. In plastic engineering, synthetic material is being manufacturing by using coal-tar, coal, petroleum products, wood, natural gas etc. Different aspects of plastic training include – training, research, designing, technical service and marketing. Thus, we can consider Plastic Processing Technology, Plastic Testing, Conversion Technology, Plastic Moulding Technology and Designing, as various branches

of plastic industry.

CIPET is an organization which is involved in training, consultancy, testing of various application of plastic technology. Its full name is – Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology. Head quarter of this institute is at Chennai, however, one of its centers is functional at Ahmedabad also.

Apart from Ahmedabad, CIPET has other centers located at Amritsar, Bhopal, Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Howrah, Imphal, Lucknow and Mysore. Courses offered here provides opportunity of selfemployment and job as well.

CIPET is an autonomous body functioning under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Practical training is imparted here with the aid of machineries and equipments equipped with State of Art computers.
